Fairydust Headquarters:
I always enjoy seeing posts and reading blogs that feature gorgeous work spaces. There are so many clever people out there that come up with stunning storage solutions and snazzy office set ups.
It is probably no great surprise that pink and red feature quite heavily in my work space and lots of white.
We recently moved into our new home, and for the first time purchased an established dwelling. This has been a bit of a challenge for me as I'm used to having input on floorplan and design from the initial concept. We built our previous 2 homes and I just adored the creative process of putting together colour palletes and textures to compliment each room.
My studio is where the original formal lounge would have been and instead of having a family dining room and a formal dining room, I handed over the formal dining room to the children to become their playroom. This space is adjacent my studio, so I can work (well attempt to work) whilst the 3 kiddies create chaos where I can see them. The pink and red also lends itself nicely to the children's area. Think I will be in trouble when I decide pink and red are no longer a favourite. Although each of my fav designs in the last 4 years have featured these colours, so hopefully I'm safe!
I think another trip to Ikea is on the cards, as I really like those ribbon holders I have seen, hmmm may have to buy some more ribbons too!
Thanks for visiting xxx

The BOYS Range gets some love.......ok since we have finally completed our family with a little boy (the bad tempered I don't like sleep Jesse), thought it was time to head over to the boys range, there always seems to be so many gorgeous items for the little ladies and the boys miss out.
These are our latest offerings for the Little Man in your life: Under the Sea and Roll Up, Roll Up, again as soon as I can create a few more hours in the week I shall upload them to the site. If you did want to order either of these designs before they are live simply email toni@fairydustdesign.net

We have been very busy in the studio of late working on some new ranges and new goodies.
Hoping to lock away some serious programming time later in the week to have these new items live on the site to purchase.
First up we have our Alphabet Flashcards for GIRLS & BOYS, learning has never been so gorgeous!
Flashcards arrived in their own petit case, or if you have already purchased a petit case, just purchase the flashcards. Would make a fabulous gift, order a personalised case and add the flashcards!

I had the pleasure of creating some goodies for a very lovely customer Melinda, to help celebrate her daughter Poppy's christening. Melinda was kind enough to share some of the images from their wonderful day. A big thank you to Melinda, and I'm glad the celebration was a huge success xxx
Adelaide had it's first Mathilda's Market on March 6th, 2010. What a huge turn out, we had a very successful day and look forward to the next one.
It was particularly lovely to meet some of our customers in person and to see the amazing array of items on display by some fabulously talented Adelaide people! My favourites on the day were Under My Wing the beautiful Zoe is creating a stunning grey beanie for Miss Sophia that I wasn't quick enough to purchase on the day....Irresponsible Bimbo Design aka Kristen my oldest and dearest friend, I am lucky enough to have the most stunning bird mobiles custom made to match each of my 3 children's bedrooms, lots of these were snapped up on the day.....Pink Apple, a wonderful selection of girls accessories from the lovely Kathryn, who I think just about sold out on market day.....of course an old favourite of mine Little Boombalada it was so lovely to finally have a chat to you face to face Kelly, cannot believe how many beautiful items you manage to sew (actually I can, I have bought most of them hehe) such a talent.....and of course who could forgot the stunning stamped jewellery creations from the gorgeous Vicki of Halle Jay fame.

If you didn't manage to make it to Mathilda's this time, make sure you make a date for the next one in July, such a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning xxx

We recently celebrated our Little Man Jesse's 1st Birthday party. We finally decided on our Cowboy theme using the "Howdy Partner 2010" range. It was such a hot day 37 degrees in fact and very windy, half the decorations starting blowing away as fast as I put them up in the morning. It ended up being a fabulous day, the cake was by the lovely Nicole Denize who did such a wonderful job of colour matching!

We also bought Jesse a cardboard cubbie which was a huge hit (and still is) from the gorgeous Linda of Creative Playhouses.

Thanks to our wonderful familyand friends who put up with the heat for a wonderful celebration xxx
